The project, which constituted natural continuation of previously made plans, involved supplementation of technical infrastructure necessary to carry out the digitization of the libraries functioning within the Museum and the creation of a centre for the digitization of museum library collections based on photographic and scanning equipment. The centre constitutes a supplement for the digitization studio dealing with museum objects. More photographic and scanning equipment was purchased. The project also involved the purchase and implementation of an integrated library system for digital resource management adapted to the specific character of museum libraries (dedicated modules), and an on-line presentation module. It also involved the creation of a reading room providing the digitized resources online.

The project did not include the digitization process. An annex to the grant application contained the digitization plan until 2015, covering about 11,400 inventory units. The digitization process was initiated after the completion of the investment part of the project.
